After discussion with different clubs, we're aware there's a real enthusiasm to continue to build engagement in the sport from different communities currently under-represented. These include, but are not limited to, runners from minority ethnic communities, the LGBTQ community, older runners, and runners with disabilities. We know there is already some great work going on locally to try and build this engagement.
This survey is based specifically on an issue which has been raised on several occasions with the SHR Committee, which is to increase the number of women of all ages participating in Scottish hill races, not hill running in general. The questions are geared towards that specific outcome.
There is, however, room at the bottom of the survey to share views about barriers to participation in the sport from other communities and to share any work your club has been doing to address this which you think others would benefit from hearing about.
Increasing Women's Participation in Hill Racing - Please complete by Monday 29th of April
Thanks for your help in advance,
