Following the recent announcement of a new SHR Championship Relay, to be held at Comrie this year, please see below the criteria for this and any future SHR Championship relays.

SHR Relay Championships – Criteria

Course & Format Requirements

• Minimum of 3 legs
• All legs must be consecutive stages
• At least one paired leg
• Each stage must be between 4 and 10 miles
• At least 50% of the legs must be:
  • Category A
  • Require navigation

Prize Categories

Awards are given as follows:

• Open, Senior Women (SW), Mixed
  • Mixed teams must be at least 50% female
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awarded
• Open V40, FV40
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awarded
• Open V50, FV50, Open V60, FV60
  • 1st place only awarded as a minimum

Event Capacity & Entries

• Minimum capacity: 50 teams
  • Must ensure adequate car parking
• Initial entry limit:
  • Maximum of 4 teams per club
• Additional entries:
  • Allowed after a specified date, subject to availability

Hosting Future Events

• Clubs wishing to host future relay championships must:
  • Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the SHR committee
  • Deadline: 31st October
• A one-off club relay event is also encouraged
